Couples Therapy
Relationships evolve through many stages and each brings its own challenges, vulnerabilities, and opportunities for growth. In our work together, we’ll slow down the patterns that create distance and defensiveness, explore the emotions underneath conflict, and create new experiences of safety and understanding. My approach draws on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and relational, psychodynamic principles, helping couples move from blame and misunderstanding toward empathy, clarity, and closeness.

Early Stages of Relationship
Moving in together or taking a next step in commitment can surface unexpected tension. Differences in communication, needs for space or closeness, and mismatched expectations about intimacy often start to feel magnified. You might find yourselves arguing over small things, feeling misunderstood, or unsure how to express what you really need. Therapy helps you navigate these growing pains, communicate with more openness, and build a foundation of trust and emotional safety that supports lasting connection.

Established Partnerships
Over time, the weight of shared responsibilities, careers, finances, children, caregiving for others can strain even strong relationships. You may notice less emotional and physical intimacy, recurring conflicts about division of labor or parenting, or a lingering sense of disconnection that’s hard to name. In therapy, we’ll uncover the cycles that keep you apart, rebuild empathy, and help you reattune to each other’s emotional worlds so your partnership feels like a secure, supportive home again.
